TECNO Spark Go (2020): Review
Released in the last quarter of 2020, the TECNO Spark Go (2020) is one of the most affordable devices for the 46K – 48K price segment. A massive upgrade from the 2019's TECNO Spark Go.
We'd take a good look at the device in this article.
Body
The device sits in at a massive 6.5+ inch screen, and have dimensions of: 165.6 * 76.2 * 9.1 mm.
The back is removable, and when it's being pried out, the SIM slots and microSD slot is being revealed. There's a Dual SIM slot, of course the SIMs are Nano.
Body build is: Front glass, plastic back and plastic frame.

Display type here is the IPS LCD, sits in a screen size of 6.52” and has a screen to body ratio of 81.2%
Resolution is capped at 720*1600p, a 20:9 ratio and roughly a 270 PPI density.
Protection on here is the Corning Gorilla Glass 3*
Software and Performance
The TECNO Spark Go (2020) runs on Android 10 (Go Edition) out of the box. HiOS 6.2 customized software (with lots of bloatwares) is slapped on top of it too.
On the chipset aspect, the MediaTek MT6761D Helio A20 is used here. The Helio A20 is a recent chip (first quarter of 2020), which is believed to be well optimized, considering most Google applications on the device are the "Go" versions.
CPU on board is the Quad-core 1.8GHz Cortex-53. This is more than enough to take a normal user on basic tasks. Even playing of heavy games like Fortnite, PUBG (PUBG Mobile Lite maybe) and COD would be a walk through – to some extent, but with a little hook ups perhaps other applications are running in the background.
Camera
The Spark Go (2020) took the more looking 2018-ish design of the "Dual Camera" setup.
The main camera here is a 13MP auto focus lens, paired with a 2MP lens for taking Bokeh shots.
Images produced are amazing, considering its price tag. On the Selfie, an 8MP camera does the work.
Both the rear and selfie camera takes video shots up to 1080p@30fps.
Memory
Not to be mistaken here, the TECNO Spark Go (2020) and TECNO Spark6 Go are so much similar.
But on the Spark Go (2020), we've got only a 32GB and 2GB model, as supposed to the Spark6 Go with other storage options.
Battery
Under the hood, the Spark Go (2020) is being powered by a massive 5000mAh battery.
A standard brick is also shipped, but I think charging the device wouldn't take forever, thanks to its 10W charger*
Sensors and Connectivity
For security, a finger print (rear mounted) is being provided. Accelerometer, promixity.
Connectivity: network connections include; GSM / HSPA+ / LTE.
Price and Availability
The TECNO Spark Go (2020) is available in all TECNO retail shops nation wide.
It comes in at a price of N47,000.
